First and foremost, let me apologize for going M.I.A…..for those not up with the lingo, means “missing in action”. It has been a while since I was able to sit down and write. And no, this is not because I don’t adore you all or that you smell funny, it is because this Perky Parkie wasn’t feeling very cheerful.
The last few weeks has been filled with pain and sadness. My life has been turned upside down and that has put me into crisis mode. This happens when it takes every ounce of energy just to function during the day. When you are in crisis mode, you are not really living; you are just trying to survive. So as you may see, I had to take a small break from blogging.
Now I know many of you are saying, “What happened?” Although I would like to tell you the source of my pain, it is not really the details that are important. What is important is that I am still here, and I am determined to live my life to its fullest. Now what does someone do when they are in crisis mode? They surround themselves with positive things. So I have been spending time with family and friends and even created a miniature garden!
As I sign off tonight, I will leave you with my favorite quotes when I find myself getting into a life funk. Spoiler Alert: It does include a curse word, so I will use cute little symbols like *, or # to protect those who might be offended. I mean could you really be mad at an adorable little tilde? ~
“You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could’ve, would’ve happened… or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the f@#k on.” ― Tupac Shakur

Dear PP, we are all rooting for you and a solid recovery from the surgeries. Your little fairy garden could be the happy place you go to when they come to poke and prod you. Maybe a teeny tent and campfire would give your mind focus in this miniature garden? Glad you are feeling better.

You have helped me through some tough times with your blogs and your book and I wish I could say or make this time of sadness and pain go away for you…survival mode is extremely exhausting and difficult. I may only know you through your blogs and book but you have become someone dear to me and I am sending love, support, encouragement, strength, laughter and hope your way. I hope your glass becomes overflowing soon. I Love the quote!

A wise man that Tupak. Life isn’t scripted unfortunately, it’s made up as we go along, not unlike the TV series ‘LOST.’ No clue where that was going.
You have many friends out here who care for you and wish you well. Just be your best each day and the rest will work itself out.

Love you Perky. Be well. You are an inspiration. I continue my adventure with PD. it is a solitary trail for me, but I find joy in being with my dear friends who wait up for me as I struggle to get out of the car, and quietly give me a hand at the buffet table if I get a little shakey. Thank You for sharing Your adventure.
