I don’t think there is a water proof bag, I got duodopa pump last year and as the nurse if it’s okey to take shower with it, I was told “NO” , so normally take 62.5 mg medapor and I take off pump for 15-20 minutes while I’m am having shower.
I use waist bag to carry it with me, and keep it on the right side of waist , that way it doesn’t become that obvious, I can hide it under my t shirt. As it sits on your waist, its does not feel that heavy. But in summer, it does become uncomfortable due to sweating.
Unfortunately, I believe you aren’t supposed to get the pump or the stoma wet. But I haven’t heard of any ways of waterproofing the device. Sorry, I can’t be more helpful. Maybe some of my readers will have feedback.
I just found your site. I have PD and wear the DUOPA Pump. Sure would like to get some information on the best fanny pack available. Surely someone has come up with something that hides the tubing and is more comfortable. I am 5″3″ and weigh about 130″ and it sure gets heavy by the end of the day.

Hi Asim,
I never thought about the summertime and sweating. Things you figure out by trying. Thank you for sharing!
I’m searching for a water proof pump/cassette case so I can swim : kayak without ruining the expensive pump
Any ideas?
