After the great success of our first “Moving with Apple” workshop last August, I was super-duper excited when the team at the Apple store in Irvine, California contacted me to help with creating a second event for people with movement disorders. This workshop will focus on mind, body and voice… starting the New Year off right!
How can technology improve your health? There are a zillion apps and devices that provide you resources, medical or exercise information, even including motivation… everyone needs a kick in the butt at some point. Technology has allowed me to connect with people throughout the world through this blog. Do you remember the days of the rotary phone? Did you ever think that you would be able to see the person you were talking to on a screen? Talk about sci-fi!
I know many of you can’t make the workshop seeing as it is in Irvine, California. But I want your questions… I will take all your question to the Apple team. What would you like to know about how technology and how it can help you?

Wow. Regarding your incident at the pharmacy. I share with you this sense of clumsily and slowly handing stuff. It happens. That’s why slapstick comedy was invented. I am also reminded of how it is important for all of us to reach out personally to others. I think what happened to you at the pharmacy is the opposite of my experience here in southern Virginia. I get smiles and helpfulness at the pharmacy. Southern hospitality is real (especially from the perspective of a native New Yorker). Little positives register in the brain!

I’m assuming these resources, apps, accessories etc require an Apple device?? What if you don’t own or can’t borrow someone’s Apple tablet or phone?
PerkyParkie says
Not necessarily. The apps are 3rd party, so you could download with an android also.
